I didn’t get a chance to attend this last year as I was still killing my days in an office and spending every free night making super cheap vodka Redbulls in my favourite basement club. But this year I decided to grow and party with the adults! After a hard year of working my way around Manchester’s better bars I’ve discovered there’s much more to life than Sourz and landed a spot judging this years Cocktails In The City.
In case you’ve been living in a sticky basement like me here is a little info on the event. Cocktails in the City is the UK’s largest ever cocktail master class set in the Harry Potter-y surroundings of Manchester Town Hall. If you rub your lucky Buddha up enough I can give you a pair for free, all you have to do is join in with the Twitter competition. Simplicity follow me and retweet this here Cocktails in the City Giveaway tweet.
So what’s happening? From the look of it people will be making drinks and grinning manically. See what I mean…
Apparently there’s more than just crazy eyed bar tenders flaming up over-proofed rum, although I’d be more than happy with that. The Great Hall will be hosting Manchester top bars including Elixer, Alchemist, Manchester House, Epernay and all the regular part bars. Harvey Nichols are setting up a beauty SOS area including nails, beauty and hair technicians on hand. There’s a chance to win your very own Cocktails in the City Vesper Moped. There will be Almost Famous food soundtracked by Danielle (Crazy P) and Neil Diablo.
